Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ARE AUTOFLOWERING PLANTS?

Autoflowers are a special type of cannabis plant which automatically flower on an internal clock, without the need for their light schedule to change. On average, Autoflowers take around 30% less time to grow than traditional (or "Photoperiod") Cannabis plants, saving the grower about a month of their time. In warmer climates such as in Malta & Gozo, this makes it possible to harvest outdoors multiple times a year. They are considered a better choice for beginners than Photoperiod Cannabis plants.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REGULAR AND FEMINIZED SEEDS?

Cannabis plants can be either male or female. The female plants produce the buds, while the male plants produce pollen (which then makes the females produce seeds). Regular cannabis seeds have around a 50% chance of producing a male plant, which is no good if your goal is to grow buds. Feminized cannabis seeds are seeds which will produce female plants 99.9% of the time, making them a great choice for the average grower because they save a lot of time, space and energy.

IS GROWING CANNABIS LEGAL IN MALTA?

Since new cultivation laws have come into place, every household in Malta is allowed to grow up to 4 Cannabis plants. Cannabis users found in possession of up to 7g outside of their homes will no longer be arrested or prosecuted, and users found in possession of 7-28g may be subject to a fine. Smoking in public or in front of minors is still illegal and may also be subject to a fine.
