Kullu Valley is a semi-wild sativa landrace strain sourced from the state of Himachel Pradesh in northern India at a latitude of 31°N. This is a very tall and slender strain displaying great vigour and resistance to mould allowing it to prosper in wetter climates. Although it has a very long flowering period lovers of sativa landraces will be thrilled by its soaring, cerebral burst of sativa energy.
Growers who don't want these plants to attain their full height are recommended to use training techniques to control it. The side-branches grow almost horizontally and can be trained like vines. Height can also be restricted by virtue of allowing just 11 hours of light per day from the beginning of cultivation. Plants thrive in dry, wet, hot and warm climate regions with flowering taking between 16 - 20 weeks. Cuttings, sometimes called clones, root very easily, often in fewer than 7 days, testament to their vigorous nature. Yields are said to be low to medium, growers being attracted to the zippy, psychedelic effect produced. A good strain to create new hybrids with to add mould resistance among other qualities.
